This week has gone so fast for me (us) Its Sabado (Saturday) already again, it didn’t seem that long ago I blog a saturday entry. I’m not trying to speed things up… Honest!
… chickens roamed free around our feet …
I worked along with Daniel (a ministrial servant) and he saved the day by having a study with two boys (aged about 7 & 11). That saves walking around in the sun all morning. We covered chapter fifteen in the require brochure, I followed along in english. We sat on little woodern chairs under a sheet of iron, whilst little baby chickens roamed free around our feet. So it was good fun to have a change of scenery from a typical australian study.
Around eleven I went with Brother Filemon on a study to a family who is new in the truth to study the Knowledge book, this is the same brother whom i spoke about in Congo Mango who is giving his first bible reading today at the school and service meeting this afternoon.
Afterward I went back to the hotel not knowing where Ash had got to (it turned out that he had already come back and gone to the cleaners – pun intended). So I was locked out till he got back at 3pm.
4pm is the School & Service meeting starting time on saturday. I enjoy this meeting because I’ve got the material and it’s easier to follow along dispaite the program being in spanish.
… food was flying every which way Mexican cantina style …
Afterward we were invited back to Brother Filemon’s (Family – Filemon, Margaritta, Hadiel, Marali) house to enjoy some association with other young ones in the congregation. Tortillas were served with a gravey like sauce, cheese and a mild chilli salsa. It tasted great and the food was flying every which way Mexican cantina style.
La Atalaya (The Watchtower) was studied afterward with Brother Filemon conducting it in spanish. He insists that we read dispite us not understanding what we were reading and then answer the paragraph we just read. My paragraph didn’t contain any words that i knew so I wasn’t able to answer… except to say “No comprendo” which is fast becoming a favotite line of mine.
